About Tides Planner

Tides Planner is the essential tool for sailors, divers, canoeists, fishermen, surfers, swimmers, photographers, and anyone planning activities at the seaside. Access tidal data for over 8,000 worldwide locations with a single tap—no internet connection required. The app carries its own comprehensive database, so you can check tides anywhere, anytime.

Core tidal features help you plan with confidence. View detailed tidal graphs, week-ahead tide tables, and minimum/maximum depth information. Compare chart depth against actual depth, access standard port data, and use the world map for rapid location searches. Advanced users benefit from extensive calculation tools to determine precise time windows for entering or leaving harbors and clearing underwater obstacles. Save your favorite locations for instant access on future visits.

Beyond tides, this planner includes sunrise and sunset times, dawn and twilight data, moon phases with rise and set times, and spring/neap tide dates. A built-in notepad lets you record observations, and copy/paste functionality makes sharing data simple. For UK, Ireland, North Sea, Netherlands, and German coast users, current data is included to round out your maritime planning.

Coverage spans the globe, with some regions subject to time restrictions set by national Hydrographic Offices. The free download gives you one day of tidal access immediately. To unlock predictions for future dates, use in-app extensions. Hydrographic Office Licences are available for many countries—purchase once and they apply to all future years. Depending on your region, these licences remove time restrictions, granting access to any day in the year.

Tides Planner is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese, making it accessible to international mariners and water-sports enthusiasts. Predictions use the harmonic method with constants from major Hydrographic Offices (UKHO, SHOM, NOAA, BOM, CHS and others)—the same method these offices consider appropriate for navigation. Always cross-reference with official tidal curves and account for local weather and swell conditions when planning your time on the water.
